Yay we made it to the weekend. And I, of course forgot to do my posting for yesterday. Go figure right? Over at the Pink By Design blog we are hosting a  Summer Food and Drinks Challenge ( You have till tonight at 11:59 pm to enter ). Hard to think of something to make that is not a card that revolves around food and drink commonly ate or drunk in the summer time.

So I made this cute little cake box, that looks like a watermelon. Clever right?

Technique Wednesday

Happy Hump Day Friends!

Today is Technique Wednesday over at the Pink By Design blog. And its all about creative stitching on your 4 hole buttons. This is also staying with our current theme challenge of Summer Food and Drinks.

Here is the tip I used:

Let’s name the holes: the upper left – 1, the upper right – 2, the lower left 3, the lower right – 4.

Stitch an arrow: the thread goes from 1 to 4, from 2 to 4 and from 3 to 4; you get an arrow pointing to the lower right corner. You can use this arrow to draw attention to some detail on your layout.

Happy 4th of July America!

Happy 4th of July Friends!

I am a composite being of all the people of America.
I am the union if you are united.
I am one and indivisible if you are undivided.
I am as strong as the weakest link.
I am an emblem of your country.
I am a symbol of the shadow of the real.
I am a sign pointing to past achievements.
I am a promise of greater things for the future.
I am what you make me.
I am purity if you are pure.
I am bravery if you are brave.
I am loyalty if you are loyal.

I am honor if you are honorable.
I am goodness if you are good.
I am hope if you are hopeful.
I am truth if you are true.

I am the Constitution.
I am law and order.
I am tolerance or intolerance as you force me to be.
I am liberty as you understand liberty.
I am as a pillar of fire by night,
but you must provide the fuel.

I march at the head of the column,
but you must carry me on.

I stand for greater and more glorious
achievement than can be found in recorded
history, but you must be my inspiration.

I AM THE FLAG.

Anything but a card Friday!

Hello Friends,

Happy Friday! Today complete's my posting week over at the Pink By Design Team Blog. And today our post is all about non-card Father's Day projects. Goes along with our challenge theme this week. All about Father's. Be sure to link up your Father's Day projects if you haven't already. You can do so by clicking HERE.

For today's project I made this adorable lil brief case. You can find the cut file for this project in the Silhouette store, along with the mustache. It was a super easy holder to make and I think it is perfect for any man considering they don't care much about the bling and flashiness. And if they throw it away my feelings won't be hurt to bad.

Wacky Wednesday at More Than Favors

Hello Friends,

This week over at More Than Favors with Paula, She is hosting her bi-weekly challenge. These challenges are super fun, and she has awesome prizes.

This week the challenge is Birthday themed. Now this can be a card, a altered item, anything birthday related. Here is my design team project for inspiration.

I got the card shape from the Silhouette store, as well as the birthday hat, and sentiment tag.  Sentiment is from Pink By Designs " Birthday, Birthday " stamp set. I added some stickles to the stars on the hat so it would match the card stock. Designer card stock is MME " Party time " stack. Perfect for Birthday's!  The hat looked bare at the bottom so I added some Divine Twine and bling to the sentiment tag.

I hope you will join us this week over at More Than Favors. I can't wait to see all your projects! Have a great Wednesday friends.

Little Prince Blog Hop

Hello Friends,

Welcome to the Little Prince Blog Hop, we're celebrating Jessica's little prince's 2nd birthday with a 3 day hop! Happy Birthday Mason!
There is a lot of boy themed projects and blog candy along the way so make sure you stop and visit every blog along the 3 day hop.

If you have arrived here from Julie's Blog :http://3girljam.blogspot.com/
then you are in the right spot. But if you stumbled upon my post and would like to start from the beginning, then head on over to Jessica's blog.

I went pretty simple on my boy projects, I had a card that matched the baby booties, but misplaced it somewhere in my crafty corner. So I made a adorable paper car to take it's place.

I bought the file for these ADORABLE baby shoes from the Silhouette store. They are pretty easy to assemble, and are perfect for baby shower gifts and or treat holders. With as many people as I know having baby's I thought this file would come in handy for years to come.  Dressing up these little shoes was a bit of a struggle as I do not have much boy embellishments. I went ahead and added my own seam binding for the shoe strings, and I am Roses in blue and white for a simple finishing touch. The white trim for the sole of shoe I purchased at Joanne's.  Designer paper is MME " Follow your Heart ".

For my second project I wanted to make something that would be appropriate for a 2 year old birthday party. This car is actually a favor box.

I also purchased this car favor box from Silhouette store. It was pretty easy to assemble and fun to embellish. I ran the tires through my Tim Holtz embossing folder Retro Circles, then added the cute little screw brads. I applied glossy accents to the windows, then sprinkled Martha Stewart Course glitter to finish them off. The lights and licence plate are just plain card stock stickled up. I went around the edges of the car with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink. Designer paper is from MME Party time stack.  These little cars hold Hershey nuggets and a whole array of different candies.

So those are my projects, something for a baby prince, and something for a toddler prince.
Unity Stamp Company has been so generous and is letting me give away a stamp set with a retail value of 26.00!  All you have to do is Please "like" Unity Stamps on Facebook ( HERE ) and let them know you are stopping by from the Little Prince blog hop. Please leave a comment on my blog letting me know you did so, to be entered to win! US residents only.

Here is the stamp set up for grabs...

I do not require that you follow my blog, but I would love it if you " like " my facebook page ( HERE ) and/or sign up for my blog emails.

Now off to Laurie's Blog where I am sure she has a incredible project for you to see. Have a wonderful day and Monday! And Thank You for stopping by!
