Old Fashioned Christmas

Hello Friends,

Today I wanted to share a cute little bag I made in preparations for the holiday season. I got this cute little goodie bag topper from Pretty Paper Pretty Ribbons. Lisa has the cutest free svg files every Friday. Don't worry if you miss the free design of the week. You can pick up this svg file along with others for .99!

I think this goodie bag topper can dress up any brown paper bag rather nicely. I also like the fact I can use it for every holiday or birthday. I cut this svg with my Cameo. For the topper I used "My Minds Eye " All is Bright 6x6 paper stack, I am Roses, Pink By Design sentiment from Old Time Christmas, and various trims and bling from my stash. I also inked around all the edges using Tim Holtz distress ink in Antique Linen.

I am thinking that I will apply velcro to the bag topper/bag so people who receive it can use it every year. The gift that keeps on giving. I hope you all have a wonderful day!

A Spooky Hello!

Hello Friends,

Happy Fall! I love fall yall, I honestly think its my favorite time of the year! The crisp air, the fallen leaves, the fog in the fields!  It's also one of my favorite seasons to craft! I love making Halloween and Thanksgiving cards and projects. I typically do not give out Halloween cards, but I like making them for posts and challenges. This card is my project for the PBD DT blog, I posted yesterday.  Let me show my most current Halloween card!

I love how everything with this card flowed together. I used papers from My Minds Eye Lost and Found Halloween, along with some Recollections kraft and black cardstock. I buy all my burlap in bulk from JoAnn's then just cut to what ever size I need. If I want different colors I spray them with Tattered Angels.  For this burlap I just took my Tim Holtz blender along with some Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap and dabbed the top. The hemp twine is from Michaels. I went around the borders of the card and layers with the same Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Frayed Burlap.

I used a couple different Pink By Design Stamp sets in the making of this card. Mixing and matching is one of my favorite things to do with all my PBD stamp sets. I used the Polaroid frame from Capture Life, Artisan Tag Die along with Artisan Tag Stamp. I stamped the tag sentiment in Tim Holtz Distress ink in Frayed Burlap and the sentiment is from PBD Vintage Holidays.  Those two little darling ghosts that are popping out of that picture are from PBD Cute Halloween.

And...I even dressed up the inside of my card! For me this is a huge accomplishment. I Never Ever finish the inside of my cards. I just used my left over scraps. The sentiment is from Ghostly Greetings.  I just love this card and all the different elements. I hope you all have a wonderful week and a even better weekend. Until next time friends!

Master Crafter Challenge

Hello Friends,

I am so happy to have had the chance to participate in the Master Crafter Challenge that Sarah at Sarah Hamer Designs is putting on. It was pretty neat to get a box of goodies to create with. Even better was not knowing what was in the box.

In the box was a Rock Star paper stack from DCWV, bling from Queen and Co. , A scissor mouse from Westcott ( love there paper trimmer by the way ), a canvas bag from State Line Bag Co, a couple buttons, and a sentiment stamp.

I have been on a card making roll lately so I thought I would step out of the box for a bit and make a tag. I decided to cut up the bag, I used my Spellbinders and just cut some shapes from the bag and DCWV paper. I colored the canvas with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Broken China and Frayed Burlap. I used a sentiment from PBD Animated Greetings 3 which fit perfectly along with the small sentiment that came in my box. I rubbed glossy accents on the buttons and then dipped them in course glitter then added some hemp twine from Michaels. Of course I had to bling it up with those Queen and Co blings. Flowers are from I am Roses. And the seam binding is my own. I think everything flowed well together and despite the paper not being vintage I somehow got the vintage feel from it. Exactly what I wanted to achieve. This was a great challenge, I had a blast. I love seeing how everyone incorporated there secret ingredients. Thank you to Sarah and all the Companies for hosting this wonderful challenge. I cant wait till the next one ;).  If you would like to vote for my tag, you can do so by clicking the link below.

Thank You for stopping by!
