Hello Friends,
Today over at the Pink By Design blog we have a fun little challenge for you. The challenge is to create a Valentine for a child. It can be a card or a treat holder of some sort. My daughter being 13 is not really into Valentines anymore, I usually buy her a flower now. And if she is lucky a giant bag of Skittles. But I do have a son who enjoys little valentines now that he is almost 4. So I made him a couple cards for Valentines Day. One for his sister to give him and one from me. I did not put alot of time and energy into these because of his age. The cute little hogs are from Lettering Delights, and I used Pink By Design " Be Mine and Country Livn" for the sentiments. Super simple. I think you could easily mass produce these for children's classes. Even jazz them up a bit. Valentines at Target or Walmart will run ya about 4.00 a box. And it seems the amount they give you only qualifies half the class therefore making you buy two boxes. You could print these out for half that amount. The graphics at Lettering Delights only costed me 1.00 and I can use them forever! That's a steal if you ask me. Throw in a sentiment and you have homemade valentines that are sure to please.
I'd love it if you would come join in on our challenge. Of course there is a prize to be won. 10.00 Gift Certificate to Pink By Design! Just follow the link! Hope to see you play along with us!
